TouchDesigner

I am a big fan of TouchDesigner by Derivative, a flexible and powerful tool that I have used to create interactive installations, a theremin with VR controllers, projection mapping, and data visualization (e.g. with MRT-data). I have found TouchDesigner's built-in programming environment and versatility to be particularly useful in bringing my creative projects to life. I am always looking to learn more about how to use TouchDesigner, particularly in the areas of kinetic installation control and automated lighting control.

Unfortunately, I have few visual examples to show. That's because I didn't spend much time on documentation during my hobby projects, my hard disk with most of the files broke down and in the last projects as a computer scientist I was more responsible for programming than for creative execution.

Game Development

As part of the module "3D Design & Dynamics" my project group developed a small puzzle game. The protagonist had to escape from a laboratory of a magician who tries to transform statues into living beings with his magic.

For the realization we photographed statues from Leipzig as well as a model doll and reconstructed them as 3D objects with the help of different photogrammetry programs.

The objects were imported into Unity and included in the game. In the case of the model doll, a puzzle had to be solved in which the player uses a Microsoft Kinect to move the doll (which imitates the player's movements) into certain poses (see video).
